Eating with the seasons is enjoying a renaissance. Eating food grown on a farm you know and love and can identify with is part of the same movement. I think it answers a need in us all, a need to reconnect with the land and the great cycles of nature of which we form part.
If one of the pleasures of eating is knowing where your food comes from, one of the pleasures of growing is knowing by whom your crops are being eaten.
It seems a long time since Woodlands Farm began supplying customers direct, either through our Organic Box Scheme, at local Farmers Markets, or through local schools. Some of the things we now grow were new to us then, just as they are today to our new customers. We hope you'll be inspired by these wonderful seasonal recipes, all of which were supplied by customers, friends and colleagues of Woodlands.
