Over the years we’ve welcomed painters, illustrators and photographers to Woodlands, the idea being to celebrate and foster affection for the land as well to rekindle a sense of belonging. While we work in the fields or in the packhouse they’ve worked beside us, with sketch books, easels and cameras. In these pages you can view paintings by two of the artists whose work has inspired and moved us.

For part of her Masters Project at the Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, artist in residence Rosie Redzia from Long Sutton in Lincolnshire, produced a book of illustrations Summer at Woodlands Farm based on everyday life at Woodlands. Her aim was to create images that capture something of the essence of this unique part of the world and to show aspects of daily life on an organic farm.
