Music

From Purcell's This Sceptred Isle to Fitkin's Servant, the British Isles have provided a rich tapestry of inspiration for composers and poets alike. The ever-changing light, the rough or neatened fields, the medley of landscape from fen to mountain to wold, the farms, the farms, the wild places! The musicians have come and they have listened, they have been moved and they have composed. They have called upon us all to re-evaluate the consummate gift of the land..
